About the Cohiba Talismán

Habanos S.A. launched the Cohiba Talismán as a Limited Edition on 7 November 2017 in London. It is made at the El Laguito factory in Havana from Vuelta Abajo leaf that Habanos says was aged for over two years before rolling. It measures 154 mm by 54 ring gauge and has a pigtail finish. Habanos describes the strength as medium to full, characteristic of the Línea Clásica blend. Limited Edition boxes carry an extra black and gold seal, and each cigar wears an extra band with the edition year.

Habanos did not state a production quantity in its announcements of the Talismán, so we do not quote one. Critics have scored it differently: Cigar Aficionado gave the original release 91 points, while halfwheel scored the box it reviewed 83 out of 100. Scores depend on the reviewer, the sample and the box.

In July 2026, trade outlets including halfwheel and Cigar Aficionado reported that the Cohiba Talismán will move from Limited Edition to the regular Habanos range. A launch is planned for 7 October 2026 in London, alongside Cohiba's 60th anniversary. Pricing has not been announced, and the reports do not say whether the blend changes.
