My Father was produced by the Garcia family and originated with José 'Pepin' Garcia. Pepin's son Jaime secretly went to Nicaragua to work on a new cigar blend, intending to name the brand "My Father" as a tribute to Pepin. The brand launched in 2008 and has subsequently grown. Today, Pepin, Jaime, and their daughter Janny Garcia lead My Father Cigars, with their factory located in Estelí, producing millions of cigars annually.
