When brothers Tomás and José Cano founded their factory in Havana in 1884, they hired skilled artisans to hand-roll the finest Vuelta Abajo tobacco, giving rise to La Flor de Cano and was named after the beautiful flowers there. The Cifuentes family then purchased the brand in the 1930s, enhancing its standing across the world. La Flor de Cano, which was nationalized during the Cuban Revolution, saw a revival in the 1990s when collectors developed a cult following for the limited-edition releases. The company has remained true to its commitment to perfection throughout its illustrious history.
