The My Father brand is produced by the Garcia family, who have a long history in the cigar industry. Several generations of this family have been involved in tobacco cultivation and cigar production, starting in Cuba and later establishing their business in Nicaragua.
The brand originated with Don Pepin Garcia, a renowned cigar roller in Havana. He immigrated to the United States in 2003, where he opened a shop in the famous Little Havana neighborhood of Miami. His son, Jaime, a talented blender in his own right, secretly ventured to Nicaragua to work on a new cigar blend, intending to name the brand “My Father” as a tribute to Pepin.
The brand made its debut in 2008 and has continued to expand ever since. Today, Pepin, Jaime, and their daughter, Janny Garcia, lead My Father Cigars, with its factory located in Estelí, producing millions of hand-rolled cigars annually.
The company works primarily with carefully selected Nicaraguan filler/binder tobaccos, often paired with an Ecuadorian wrapper, creating blends that deliver remarkable depth, strength, and aroma.
