Montecristo Elba Edición Limitada 2025 (90th Anniversary)

Montecristo Elba Edición Limitada 2025 marks the brand’s 90th anniversary. It introduces the Encantos vitola, a new format in the Habanos portfolio, and takes its name from the island of Elba in Alexandre Dumas’s The Count of Monte Cristo. Habanos, S.A. unveiled it at a world premiere at the Las Ventas bullring in Madrid, organised by Club Pasión Habanos and attended by more than 400 distributors, specialist press and aficionados. The Elba is a grand robusto measuring 146 mm (5¾") with a 54 ring gauge. It is entirely handmade with long filler. The wrapper, binder and filler all come from selected fields in the Vuelta Abajo region of Pinar del Río, Cuba, and the tobacco is aged for a minimum of two years. The wrapper is brown, silky and oily, with a matte sheen. Tasting Notes: Medium to full in strength, the Elba is intense yet balanced. Toasted notes lead, supported by hints of cocoa, vanilla, nutmeg and molasses. The cigar develops progressively and finishes round and persistent. The draw is excellent, the ash compact and long-lasting, and the combustion even throughout, for a smoking time of approximately around one hour. The Elba is offered in two formats. A special box of 20 is available in all markets worldwide. The Premier edition is exclusive to Spain and is presented in a box of 5, limited to 10,000 numbered boxes, with each cigar wearing a dedicated Edición Limitada Premier band. Both formats feature the Montecristo band on a gold background, a commemorative 90th-anniversary band and a commemorative foot ring. NFC technology in the packaging and on the band allows authenticity verification and gives access to content about the cigar and the brand’s history, where the feature is available.
