Macallan Exceptional Single Cask 2019/ESB-14/03 – Rare Single Malt Whisky in HK

This single cask whisky was distilled in January 1997 and matured for over 22 years in European oak sherry casks. In April 2019, it was carefully selected by Master Whisky Maker Sarah Burgess to craft an exceptional single cask release. Bottled in August 2019 at a cask strength of 56.7%, this whisky is limited to just 606 bottles worldwide, making it highly collectible. The whisky boasts a rich and layered aroma, featuring notes of fresh cherries, vanilla, sweet oak, ginger spice, dried figs, and caramel pudding. On the palate, it delivers a delightful sweetness of raisins and spices, intertwined with hints of ginger, nutmeg, and oak spice, complemented by a subtle touch of chocolate fudge. The finish is of medium length, with the spiciness of oak gradually giving way to a lingering sweetness that leaves a lasting impression. This whisky, with its profound aged character and rarity, perfectly embodies exceptional craftsmanship and unparalleled quality.
