What Is the Cuban Loose-Stick Collection?

Our Cuban Loose-Stick Collection is where we break Habanos down into 5-stick packs, so you can try a marca you've never smoked, restock a proven favourite, or build a mixed tasting flight without committing to a full box of 25. Every pack is drawn from the same official Habanos S.A. allocations we use for our full boxes, grown in Cuba's Vuelta Abajo region and rolled from the same leaf as the standard-issue product.

The collection currently spans three marcas—Hoyo de Monterrey, Vegas Robaina and San Cristobal de La Habana—across formats from a 30-minute Petit Corona to a fuller 60-minute Robusto Extra, with more marcas being phased in over time.

Why 5-Stick Packs?

A 5-stick pack is built for sampling—enough to properly judge a blend across a few sittings before deciding whether it earns a permanent spot in your rotation, and a low-risk way to test a marca you've only read about. As we work through more of our Habanos allocations, additional marcas and vitolas will continue to be added to the collection over time.

Brand Spotlight: The Three Marcas in the Collection

Hoyo de Monterrey is represented by the Le Hoyo de Rio Seco (Robusto Extra) and Petit Robustos (Petit Robusto). Vegas Robaina offers the Unicos (Piramides) and Famosos (Corona Extra). San Cristobal de La Habana rounds out the range with the La Fuerza (Robusto Extra), La Punta (Piramides) and El Principe (Petit Corona)—so there's a smoking time to match most afternoons.

Authenticity: Why It Matters More With Loose Sticks

Counterfeit Habanos are a real and well-documented problem, and buying loose sticks instead of a sealed, coded box removes the usual box-warranty checks a buyer would normally rely on—which is exactly why sourcing matters more here, not less. Every pack in this collection is pulled from boxes acquired through official regular supply channels, not grey-market resale or unofficial parallel-import ("daigou") routes, and each stick is individually inspected for construction, draw, burn consistency and humidity before it's packed for sale. That's a different standard from buying single sticks off an unverified reseller, where there's no way to trace the box a cigar actually came from.

Storing Your Loose Sticks at Home

Cigars sold outside their original box are more exposed to humidity swings, so we recommend moving a pack into a proper humidor within the first day or two, set to the standard 65–72% RH band. See our humidor collection for options sized for anywhere from a handful of sticks to a few boxes' worth.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How do I know these are genuine Habanos, not counterfeit?

Every pack is sourced through official regular supply channels and individually inspected for construction, draw, burn consistency and humidity before packing. Check the band details closely too—genuine Habanos bands show sharp, high-definition printing and consistent gold-foil embossing, which counterfeits typically get wrong.

Do you ship to Mainland China?

Yes—we offer local delivery across Hong Kong, Mainland China and Taiwan directly, with international shipping to other destinations via Hong Kong Post Express Mail Service (EMS).

What's the difference between buying here and through a daigou (代购) reseller?

A daigou purchase typically has no traceable box origin and no pre-sale inspection you can verify. Every pack here is sourced through Migratory Story's own official channels and inspected stick by stick before it's packed, with a business you can hold accountable if something's wrong.

What's the difference between a 5-stick pack and a full box?

Both are drawn from the same official allocations. A 5-stick pack is sized for sampling a marca or vitola before committing further; a full box of 25 suits a blend you already smoke regularly, at a lower cost per stick.

Can I mix marcas in one order?

Yes—each pack is sold individually, so you can order a Hoyo de Monterrey alongside a Vegas Robaina and a San Cristobal de La Habana in the same checkout to build your own tasting flight.

Will more Cuban marcas be added to this collection?

Yes—we're working through more of our Habanos catalogue and converting popular blends into loose-stick packs on a rolling basis.
